ACN chieftain, Pa Olatunji Hamzat, seriously ill

Well respected politician and Action Congress Of Nigeria chieftain, Pa Olatunji Hamzat, is said to be seriously sick, moving from one hospital to another in search of medical care.
A close source within his Yaya Abatan, Ogba, Lagos State home revealed to The Eagle Online that Hamzat’s ailment is largely as a result of old age.
The source, however, said it is certain he will get over it.
The source said he was on the road to recovery before the death of one his sons, Hon. Toyin Hamzat, who was shot dead around Sagamu, Ogun State late last year.
Hamzat was said to have relapsed on hearing the news of his son’s death.
And so painful was the news to him because the late son and former chairman of Ikeja Local Government Area was his favourite son,whom he had been nurturing to take over his political structure.
Even before his son’s death, the ex-Commissioner for Finance in the administration of former civilian Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, had stopped attending political meetings.
Amy major meeting in which he is expected to participate are held in his residence.
