The Divisional Police Officer, Gwoza, Abubakar Digire Ahmadu; his deputy; and eight civilians were among those killed in Gwoza, Borno State on Monday night when gunmen suspected to be members of dreaded sect, Boko Haram, struck in the town.
The gunmen targeted the divisional police station and Mainstreet Bank in the town.
According to reports monitored on the website of Vanguard newspaper, the suspected Boko Haram members bombed the police station with what many consider to be Improvised Explosive Device.
