Man abducts uncle using Jonathan’s Adviser’s name

A 37-year-old man, Tony Anene, has been arrested by the Nigerian Army for allegedly conniving with two others to kidnap his uncle, Dominic Nwaezeapu.
The arrest was made in Delta State.
Anene and the two others, who are now at large, allegedly kidnapped his uncle over a disputed land in Delta State.
He was said to have employed the name of the Economic Adviser to the President, Augustine Uwaizi Ahikoya, to lure Nwaezeapu out of his house on April 9.
Nwaezeapu was reportedly blindfolded without food or water for three days.
The Commander, 9 Brigade, Brigadier General Adeniyi Oyebade, said the kidnappers were arrested in Ogun State on the way to Lagos with the victim.
Oyebade said: “At about 1am, on Friday, the Nigerian Army Quick Response Group, which operates on Lagos-Ibadan-Ogere axis, stopped a Honda car, blue in colour, with registration number LND 751 AP in Ogun State.
“They observed that the vehicle was just wobbling along with one of the tyres in bad shape.
“During the on-the-spot interrogation, somebody in the vehicle, by name Mr. Dominic Nwaezeapu, shouted that he was a kidnapped victim.
“On hearing that shout, two of the kidnappers, out of the three, jumped out of the vehicle and absconded into the bush.
“Unfortunately for Anene, he was apprehended.”
