Aero Contractors resumes operation

Aero Contractors on Monday resumed commercial flight operations after being off the skies for about 18 days.
This followed a strike action embarked upon by the workers of the airline, who were protesting over wages and other working conditions.
The management, at the peak of the strike, pronounced all those on its payroll sacked.
However, as a first step towards resolving the impasse with the workers, the management has agreed and recalled all the purportedly sacked staff based on the advice of the Senate Committee on Aviation.
Most of the staff resumed duties on Sunday.
Tickets sales and maintenance of the aircraft in the fleet of the airline were early signs on Sunday that Aero Contractors was set to resume operations.
The Senate Committee on Aviation on Thursday intervened in the face-off.
It advised the airline to recall the sacked staff.
It also encouraged the management of the airline to resume negotiation with the staff union
