Boko Haram kills two soldiers, wound others

It was a bloody weekend in Kogi State, as unknown gunmen, suspected to be. Boko Haram militants, attacked a military convoy of two luxury buses conveying some soldiers, from some military formations in the southern part of the country to Kaduna.
The attack left two soldiers dead and a number wounded.
The convoy was believed to have come under a coordinated attack by the unknown gunmen using high capacity, remote-controlled improvised explosive devices and hand held weapons at Abobo village, just outside Okene, in Kogi State.
The military personnel are believed to be part of Nigeria’s contingent heading for Kaduna for onward airlift to Mali, where Nigerian troops are currently deployed along with some other West African troops, to check Islamic fundamentalists threatening to take over the country.
